How do I automatically send an email to people who have purchased an item?

I sell a lot of items on eBay and was wondering if there was anyway I could automatically send an email/invoice to someone from my outlook express or Eudora mail program without doing it manually? It will always be the same email with a pdf document attached.

How do I automatically send an email to people who have purchased an item?
First check with eBay if they offer a service that allows you to do this. If they don't, you might want to get in touch with a programmer to sort this out for you, because it's not something you can implement by checking a few options and clicking some buttons...

You need to set up a system to identify an E-mail as being from someone that made a purchase and then create a rule that sends your automated response to the correct address. Since I'm not familiar with eBay (wouldn't go near it with a stick; call me a suspicious mind), you might want to check if they offer some sort of API to tap into their database or any other means of extracting sales information from their system or via an E-mail in order to trigger the automated response and direct it to the right address.

Good luck, and be prepared to spend some serious money on getting this up and running. Programmers don't come sheep, and then there's the whole privacy issue you'll need to sort out... ;)
