I send emails to my relatives, by typing in each address in the "to" box.
How do I send an email to multiple people, without having to show each email address?
The BCC (blind courtesy copy) line is an address line meant to hide all addresses entered on it. It's the perfect way to protect the identity your recipients.
If you're using Yahoo---they require at least one valid address on the TO line---sooooooo--most people just put their own address there and that's the only thing anyone will see.
Reply:You end up doing it exactly like all the spammers do, you use the BCC: line instead of the TO: or CC: lines. Any address on the BCC: line is hidden. If you look at the spam you get, you will often see NO ADDRESS at all, so exactly HOW does it end up in your box? Easy, all addresses were on the BCC: line and hidden from all other recipients. When I do this, I always put my real address on the TO: line so my relatives see I sent it to myself and it is valid and NOT spam.
Reply:This is very simple. Somewhere near the 'To' box is going to be "Bcc", which is for Blind Carbon Copy.
Put your addresses in that box and viola! only you will know who you sent the email to.
