How can i stop people getting my email address?

like alot of people send me chain mails, and its annoying coz by that everyone knows my email and they start adding me erghhh. its my friends fault i knw but they just wnt delete me off there chain mail thngy. helpp!

Turn on the Yahoo spamguard. That eliminates most and the rest go into the spam folder where you can ignore them. Click Options, Mail Options, and Spam. Check that top box.

Reply:If someone already has your email address in their list, then there's nothing much you can do to prevent them getting it.





The only thing you can do (depending on what web-mail or email client you are using) is to set rules or filters to send the junk mail into the Junk Mail folder.





If you mean that you have posted your email address to a website or blog, then you can mask your actual email address.





Instead of putting your email address as abc@xyz.com (for example), you can instead put it as abc%26lt;at%26gt;xyz%26lt;dot%26gt;com and hope that people actually will interpret it correctly.





However, email harvesting programs should not recognise it.
