Do you think there should be laws protecting people from spam email?

I have never bought anything from a spam email and I never will. The people who send them out waste peoples time and money. I don't understand why it shouldn't at least be regulated. Often times I want to respond to tell them not to send me anymore and you can't contact them, or even worse they send you more spam.

There already are laws protecting people from spam. Advertisers are required to provide a link in the email to unsubscribe or "opt-out" from their emails. Its usually almost impossible to find, however, and it takes about a month for them to stop sending you emails.
Reply:The United States government has done a very good job of stopping spam. Next time you get a spam email, check the source for the IP address. Look up that IP address and 99.9% of the time it will be a foreign IP.
