How do these people get your email address?

I'm sure all of us have recieved emails from other countries (such as: The UK,Nigeria,and England) telling us we've won something,or they need our help in obtaining "Funds/Money from some dead relative. Although "Spam Protection" is suppose to prevent these emails from entering into our "InBox", we get them anyway!. These people actually know when you've "Logged-In",because I can be checking my emails,and get an "alert",that I've recieved another one. I look and "IT'S THEM!"


"HOW DO THESE PEOPLE GET OUR EMAIL ADDRESS?


(PS) I've "Spammed "20"of these emails,in the past 3 days!

How do these people get your email address?
As it's been explained to me, by my ISP/email "carrier" when I've questioned them on how to stop all these spam/spoof emails -- "your email address is out there", some sites will sell your email addresses, just like those companies who sell your home address for mailing lists!! Plus, a lot of spammers are good and can acquire your email from just about anything you've sent or any site you've visited!!! Oh, yes, I was also told "there's nothing that can be done about it"!!!





Nigeria seems to be the best at getting your email addy!! ESPECIALLY if you have an account on eBay!!!





Forget about trying to block them -- they just keep changing THEIR email addy and keep sending all those spam/spoof emails!!!

Reply:Why so many people send me email saying that I won a lot of money. If they don't want to send me money what is the reason of sending this stupidity. Report Abuse

Reply:One day I answer one of such email. Actually they sent me something to fill in and send by post. After 1 month my letter came back to me saying that such address does not exist. So anyway, there is nobody waiting for my data. It really makes no sense to me. Even now I received 2 such emails. Report Abuse

Reply:you must be going someone on your computer that leaves a trail. I never have this problem. My spam is separated in my email account the blocker never lets it through unless I fill something out and then they have your address. Yahoomail is great.
