Are people that gullible? My wife's frind, who is a really bright lady, just emailed the Bill Gates will pay you if you send this on hoax. Unbelievable.
Why do people fall for email hoaxes? Do they not understand you can google the claim and the word hoax?
Yes, some people ARE gullible. Some e-mail hoaxes contain too-good-to-be-true information that is seems believable.

Reply:everybody is new once. some of the hoaxes are completely far fetched, but not everyone has been around the block a few times. everyone's fallen for some kind of internet based trickery at some point in their e-life.
